For 40 years CYA limited membership to yacht clubs located within the boundaries of the City of Chicago in order to centralize issues and events. In 1999, however, CYA amended its bylaws and extended its membership to truly become the voice of Chicagoland boating. With this change, the association now plans to take a more proactive stance on issues effecting our lakefront community and will allow for a more complete interaction of government agencies, commercial boating businesses and marine organizations.

Make an impact in the marine community of the greater Chicago area by becoming a member organization of the Chicago Yachting Association. Your organization can play a role in the future of Chicago boating and lakefront issues.
